HushTally exists so groups can answer honestly. Votes are anonymous by design: we never show anyone — including the person who asked the question, and including the group's creator — who chose which answer. We collect only what the app needs to work, we don't sell data, and we don't show ads.
When you vote, your choice is stored separately from your identity. We record that you voted (so the group can see how many votes are in and so you can't vote twice), but your name is never connected to which answer you picked. Results are shown only as pooled totals.
Your data is stored with our hosting provider (Supabase) in the United States, protected by industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
You can delete your account at any time inside the app (Profile → Delete Account). This permanently removes your profile, your memberships, and any groups you created. You can also email us at support@hushtally.app and we'll take care of it.
HushTally is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll post the update here with a new date.
Questions? Email support@hushtally.app — we read every note.
